STRANGE TERRA COTTA CHINESE ARMY - WARRIORS & HORSES BURIED 247 BC!
Mausoleum Army is dumping at least 8,099 full-terracotta statues of Chinese warriors and horses found near the shrine of the Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di, near the city of Xi'an in 1974.
Terracotta statues were buried with the first emperor, Qin Qing dynasty in Shihuandi (210-209 BC). They were found in March 1974 by local farmers while drilling an artesian well to the east of Mount Lishan.
Construction of the mausoleum began in 247 BC. Require the efforts of more than 700 thousand workers and artisans, and lasted 38 years. Qin Shihuandi was buried in 201 BC. According to the great Chinese historian Sima Qian, a lot of jewelry and craft items were buried with the emperor.
